A Brief Introduction of the Stockton Art League:

Founded in 1936, the Stockton Art League has organized the National annual juried exhibition ever since 1951, which usually takes place in the Haggin Museum.

A Brief Introduction of the Haggin Museum:

Opened officially on June 14, 1931, the Haggin Museum, an art and history museum, has been referred to by Sunset magazine as “one of the undersung gems of California.” Its art collection features works by such noted 19th-century painters as Albert Bierstadt, Rosa Bonheur, and William-Adolphe Bouguereau, as well as many other American and European artists. The museum’s three-story building provides 3158 square feet exhibition space, facilitated with a research library accessible upon reservation. Free docent-led tours and slide programs are also available.

About the City of Stockton:

The National Civic League has awarded the City of Stockton with the "All America City award". Stockton was recently recognized as the "Best Tree City" in the western United States, and "Best of the West Food Fest". The City has also acquired 49 designations of local and national historic sites since 1855. There are seven museums and galleries in the city of Stockton, of which the scenery has been filmed into 41 movies.

About Curator Gil Dellinger:

Born in 1942, currently living in San Francisco, Curator Gil Dellinger is reputed for his 1940 impressionism paintings of California landscape, seascape, figurative and historical subject. A Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, Mr. Gil Dellinger has participated in over 300 group and one person exhibitions, and has been designated by the Haggin Museum as curator of many exhibitions. He has received 14 awards and honors. The list of collectors of his works includes Best Actor award winner Nicholas Cage, the National Monument Museum, the Haggin Museum, the Forbes Museum Gallery, the Forbes Family, Kaiser Permanente – the largest Health Care Group in the Untied States, the University of the Pacific, and more than 500 private collectors.
