In February of this year, two pieces of oil painting by Professor Lee Sun-Don, "Smile Facing Pouring Waterfall with Calmness" and "The Buddha is Delivering All Beings" have been selected to exhibit in the 25th Exposition of Salon International 2008, European Academy of Arts-France, France. Professor Lee was further awarded the Juror's Special Prize in the grand opening ceremony in the evening of 5 Apr, 2008.

Special Jury Award

The Salon International 2008 exhibits more than two hundred art works by artists from all over the world. This was the first time that Professor Lee joined the exhibition; however, his two pieces of oil painting were displayed in an inevitable position, which was by the work of JAHB, Invitée d'Honneur of the academy. Professor Lee was further awarded the Juror's Special Prize for the distinctive style of his art, being the first person from Asia that has ever obtained this honor!

After issuing the award, the President Anne Marie specially indicated to all the attending audience, "Professor Lee's works are fantastic! I hope that we will have more opportunities to meet with Professor Lee in the future." A well-known German Sculptor also indicated that he was deeply impressed and intrigued by Professor Lee's works. He expressed his intention to keep in touch with Professor Lee and later on make possible arrangements for Professor Lee to exhibit in Germany.
