Master Lee Sun-Don Has Been Awarded the Teaching Position of Visiting Professor of Department of Fine Arts of Xiamen University
Time: January 12, 2008 Amazing the art world with his Totemic Energy Oil Paintings, Master Lee Sun-Don has been invited to take the teaching position of visiting professor at the Department of Fine Arts of Xiamen University. The certificate of professor has been officially awarded on January 12 in Xiamen. Born in 1959, Master Lee Sun-Don graduated from the Mathematics Department of Soochow University. Well-known originally for his Kung-Fu novel writing in Taiwan’s literature circle, Master Lee later became a piano performer, music composer, philanthropy entrepreneur, owing to amazing causations. Of his music compositions, “A Memoir of a Great Patriarch” was nominated for the Best Traditional and Artistic Music of the 18th Annual Taiwan’s National Golden Melody Award. Creating the first totemic energy oil paintings in 1999, Master Lee Sun-Don’s art works have been collected by museums and art collectors since his first solo exhibition in 2006. In July, 2007, Master Lee Sun-Don held a Totemic Oil Painting Exhibition -“Thus is Realized – The Supreme Hua-Yen Diamond Sutra”, becoming the first ever in history that interprets Buddhist sutras with oil on canvas. His solo exhibits in Paris, Rome, New York, Singapore, etc. have earned extremely high acclaims from the art circles worldwide. In January, 2008, Master Lee Sun-Don’s works won the award in BECA First International Contemporary Art Exhibition; eighteen pieces of his paintings have been selected into the competition gallery in the Art Interview - International Online magazine in Berlin; his works have also been selected for the “10th Annual Realism International Online Juried Art Exhibition” in the United States. Furthermore, his solo exhibitions in national museums of various countries have been scheduled! Master Lee Sun-Don has been invited to take the teaching position of visiting professor in the Department of Fine Arts in Xiamen University. It is anticipated that he is to bring the most innovative ideas into the art world of future generations and to strike the innermost feelings of a human mind. |
