Eight months since then, he has received more than 50 acceptances (including awards of Best of Class, Certificate of Merit, and Honorable Mentions) in juried expositions – all come from organizers approved by Photographic Society of America (PSA) or International Federation of Photographic Art (IFPA). These include the world-renowned Austrian Trierenberg Super Circuit, German Filderstadt's Photo of the Year 2010, the Spanish Andorran Circuit's 12th Certamen International Mallorca, and International Photographer Award. | ||
2008 12 | Winning 42 honorable recognitions just within this year from global-renowned juried competitions in fine arts, including Royal West of England Academy 156th Autumn Exhibition, RWS/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition 2008, and the 25th Exposition of Salon International 2008, European Academy of Arts-France. | ||
2007 12 | Participated in the international auction for the first time. In this auction, organized by Art #1, Ltd., the artwork Freedom Beyond Freedom (51" x 64", 130x 162 cm) -- among 300 masterpieces by contemporary and modern Chinese artists -- was sold for NT$ 18.5 million (US$ 570,000), the highest of Taiwan's contemporary paintings at that time. | ||
2007 07 | Held the first international impromptu exhibitions of Totemic Energy Oil Painting in Milan and Salerno, Italy. Being heralded as the "Modern Oriental Picasso" by IL TEMPO ROMA, one major newspaper in Rome. | ||
Became the first to illustrate a complete Buddhist sutra, The Diamond Sutra, with oil on canvas in the exhibition entitled Thus Is Realized held in Taipei. | |||
2006 11 | Debuted the Totemic Energy Oil Painting exhibition, entitled Ultimate Purity, in Taipei. | ||
2006 03 | Had the first impromptu performance of Totemic Energy Oil Painting in Taipei and made the first attempt to preach Buddha dharma through painting. Four paintings on Four Great Bodhisattvas were created in front of a live audience of more than two thousand people in four days. Each piece is of the size #100 (64" x 51",162 cm x 130 cm). | ||
1999 | Created the first Totemic Energy Oil Painting. More than ten pieces were made during this period. Many inquiries came from museums and collectors for these paintings when they were first publicly exhibited in 2006. | ||
1998 | Realized that a simple composition of lines could suffice to perfectly represent the totems of the universe -- to capture the essence and transformation of the universe and to embody the balance and harmony of the cosmic energies -- and thus created the first totemic painting, entitled Origin of Dharma Universe | ||
1993 | Drew the "universal totem" that was visualized in meditation for the first time. | ||
1990 | Visualized in a deep meditation the fundamental image of all the phenomena and all the energies of the universe, called "universal totem". | ||

2009 11 | Donating the first oil creation impromptu at the 53rd Venice Biennale 2009, entitled "3-Abstract-D / Black & White: Astonishing", for charity auction "Art for L'Aquila" organized by ArtMinerva, a non-profit organization raising funds for the restoration and repair of art and been promoted greatly by the Italian Institute of Culture and Italian Institute of Foreign Affairs. All profit go towards the restoring the Di Santa Maria Del Suffragio church (an important symbol of art and culture for many generations in L'Aquila), which was badly destroyed by the devastating earthquake of 6 April 2008. | ||
