The Concert “In Memory of a Great Patriarch "on 1^st November at National Concert Hall

Globally renowned, Professor Lee Sun-Don, the first Asian artist ever to participate with a solo exhibition of oil painting in the Venice Biennale (2009), never conceals his intention behind his creation of Totemic Energy Oil Painting – i.e., to glorify and disseminate the Buddha's teaching. Inheriting from the Second Patriarch of Buddhist Forshang, Bodhisattva Yuan-Dao, Prof. Lee has expressed his gratitude and reminiscence toward his Mentor via a series of paintings, such as “Image • My Master”. Now in the 20^th year after Bodhisattva Yuan-Dao had entered nirvana, Prof. Lee composed his memory into melody to honor his Great Master., which will be performed by Pro Arte Orchestra led by Prof. Chia-Hong Drapal Liao on November 1^st at National Concert Hall, Taipei.

Audited by the Ministry of Education, published by Kang Hsuan Educational Publishing Group the Junior High textbook - "Art and Humanities 3" specifically selected Professor Lee Sun-Don's totemic energy oil painting "Navigate Toward the Treasure Mountain" as the cover illustration.
In addition to the works of Professor Lee, this textbook cover has the other two paintings: "Young Girls at the Piano" by the French impressionist master Renoir, and the famous painting "The Dance Class" by Degas, the current collection of the Musee d'Orsay.
